Ginger, our beautiful and personable Rocky Mountain mare came to us from Georgia. Ginger, is more commonly referred to as ‘Sweet Ginger’. As you stroll up the shaded walkway, Ginger is always the first horse to pop her head out for a warm greeting.
Ginger immediately proved her place in HDH’s therapeutic programs, as her previous home was with a family with three special needs children. Sweet Ginger is now one of our ‘go to’ horses whether it is a four year old putting on a riding helmet for the first time or a rider who has progressed to the trot. Ginger has an amazingly smooth trot!
Sweet Ginger’s personality goes along well with her appearance. She is a unique yet beautiful Silver Bay, a Chestnut with black legs and a silver mane and tail.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Like most red coated horses, Ginger, (along with Robin and Azland) is allergic to gnats. Ginger is treated topically twice a day to keep the allergy under control. Your contribution, whether it be adopting her for the month/year, or a donation for her care is greatly appreciated by HDH and Ginger - will forever be thankful to you.
